Britannia Hotel Wigan（大不列颠威根酒店） ★★★

Staff pleasant clean and tidy we were up sorting a relative that passed so didn’t really have much time at the hotel

Stay safe as cut short by owners due to home office taking over the whole hotel and £100 per night for refugees is more important than guests already booked had to move to their hotel near Bolton more than 20mins drive which was inconvenient for us dealing with a death in the family

Good access from the M6, clean rooms and friendly staff

They leave the heating on in the hotel regardless of the weather ???? sooo hot in the room Hot water not hot And holy moly the floors are creaky ????‍️

Good location for accessing the motorway. It was very cheap for a night.

Rooms were only “ok” - what I’ve come to expect from the Britannia chain. Another nearby room decided to have a loud party all night and there was a persistent ringing outside all night. Did not get a good sleep. The staff were also really blunt and rude. I wouldn’t bother going there again, not even for the cheap price.

Staff are exceptionally friendly helpful and do a marvellous job no matter how busy they are.

Unfortunately it was a busy night in the hotel and numerous guests continued to party until very early hours of the morning. The noise was unacceptable, and continued for many hours after the bar had closed.

Good location and local facilities, friendly staff, nice big bed! Would have been a lovely stay if the room wasn’t so hot!

The room was so hot, it was so uncomfortable, i was told I cannot open the window as it’s a “safety feature” I only got a couple of hours sleep! The staff bought a fan to the room!

When enter the entrance, it was unclean with cigarette buds all over the floor. There was broken leather sofas everywhere. Was very outdated. The room was basic but not very well cleaned. Beard hairs or something over the floor. Beds were rock solid. Would not go back.

Corridor smelt bad like a smokers paradise. Bathroom had a leak by the sink so the floor was wet. Radiator was making a screeching sound all night

Leider kann man bei dieser Unterkunft nichts Positives nennen!

Unterkunft ist vollständig heruntergekommen, die Zimmer waren dreckig, cm-dicker Schimmel an den Fenstern; Unterkunft wird offensichtlich in Teilen als Herberge für Asylanten benutzt!

Die abwesenden Asylanten,die mann,obwohl sie abgeschottet waren, doch manchesmal begegnet ist. waren sehr nett.

Alles. Dreckig,alles so abgenutzt. Frühstück War schlimm. Die auf der Heissplatte gefallen und angetrockene Bohnen lagen mindestens 2 Tage. Muss personal Bitte Tisch abzuwischen,War zwar gedeckt aber Rest vom Vorgänge noch da. Musste um saubere Tassen bitten. War keine aufmerksame Persona im Speisesaal, musste lange warten bis Nachschub kam, nachdem mann drum gebeten hatte. Das Swimmingpool hatte jeweils ein Haufen Sand unterwasser in 2 Ecken.Die Duschen waren dreckig,alles volle schwarze Schimmel und man wirde aufgeforder selbst den Ausguss sauber zu machen,wegen Verstopfunggefahr.Dafür muss mann 4 Pfund extra bezahlen.Dieses Hotel ist auf gar kein Fall weiter zu empfehlen.

Goraco,parno. Instalacja elektryczna w pokoju na zewnatrz. Wiec uwaga z malymi dziecmi. Sniadania porażka... dodatkowa oplata za korzystanie z basenu...Nie polecam , na pewno nie latem.

Wszystko, poczynając od niestandardowo miłych pracowników recepcji(być może to cecha Walijczyków taka bezpośredniość i szorstkość)poprzez brudne pokoje, niesprawne prysznice w łazienkach, niemiłosiernie skrzypiące drzwi i podłogi,az po wyjątkowo niesmaczną kuchnię hotelową, śniadanie w stylu brytyjskim zapamiętam na długo z pewnością.Ten hotel to skansen z kuchnią jak na poligonie,czyli wszystko z puszki.
