Fair

Staff pleasant clean and tidy we were up sorting a relative that passed so didn’t really have much time at the hotel

Stay safe as cut short by owners due to home office taking over the whole hotel and £100 per night for refugees is more important than guests already booked had to move to their hotel near Bolton more than 20mins drive which was inconvenient for us dealing with a death in the family

The full breakfast was well cooked and a good size. Staff serving breakfast was good

The hotel needs a freshen up and decorated. Room was not that clean. Cracked floor tiles in the bathroom. Room 215

Ok stay in a hotel in a convenient location, cleanliness could be much better.

The bed was comfy, the room was warm. Plenty of hot water.

The bathroom floor had something spilt on it, and obviously hadn't been mopped in quite a while.

No shampoo/body wash in the dispenser. Shower leaked. Restaurant not open and no instruction to preorder dinner. Bar very basic. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment. Slept well very comfortable bed. Good tea and coffee facility. It is what it is low cost room which being honest is value at £39. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Now we know what to expect would stay again and pre book dinner etc.

Good value for money and a good place to get back on the motorway.

The location was excellent as it was a minute off the M6 motorway I was getting tired and needed somewhere reasonable to sleep. The room I got was nice and reasonably clean as was the shower. Tea and coffee was available. The breakfast was an extra £7.95 and I would say it was good value at that. Staff were nice and friendly

The shower was a fixed head and not fond of that. The rooms and hotel on a whole is tired and needs money spent on it. My room although nice was a bit noisy as it was next to a door to the reception. If you are looking for somewhere for a day or 2 I would ask for a quiet room.

Comfortable, pleasant stay

The room was a generous size, it was lovely and warm, ended up having to open the window for fresh air. The self service breakfast was lovely, a good variety from cooked breakfast, to cereal, fruit and yogurt, staff were friendly and helpful. You get what you pay for I guess, all in all for a basic double room, it was good.

Very limited meal choice for evening meal, ended up going to the local hungry horse across the road. The bathroom still had the previous guests hairs in it, the tea and coffee in the rooms was cheap and nasty, went to the local spar garage for our coffee. The bed was a little hard for us, but was comfortable

Good location and value for money, marred by a very noisy neighbour!

The room size was good and all was clean.

Our first night's sleep was ruined by the noise of what appeared to be a sex worker next door dealing with her clients! This went on until around 0245 when I finally lost my patience and banged on the wall. I raised this with the hotel reception staff the next morning and they agreed that it was annoying when this happened, and laughed it off! I asked them to check the same person wasn't staying in the room for our second night and they confirmed she was not. This is all that was done, so rather marred our stay!

Would definitely stop again

Staff are exceptionally friendly helpful and do a marvellous job no matter how busy they are.

Unfortunately it was a busy night in the hotel and numerous guests continued to party until very early hours of the morning. The noise was unacceptable, and continued for many hours after the bar had closed.

Staff spoilted the stay.

Nice location, price was appropriate, warm.

Staff appear disinterested at check in didn't provide me with any information I required.Instead they just gave me a room key and point in the direction the room.Most of the staff had the same attitude and were not approachable bar one the bar man. Room large, although walls damaged, furniture scratched, bed uncomfortable, one pillow, thin towels. Room and bathroom not fully clean, hair in bath, blood in sink. Carpet and furniture in room full of dust and bits. Also I understand noise in a hotel, however the cleaners starting work 7am on a Sunday morning talking loudly outside of room doors and banging, and slamming doors was done without consideration or care for hotel guests. MAIN ONE you can't drink the water in your room, wasn't told prior, at check in and only found out when went to bathroom to get water. Asked at reception, was informed to ask the bar man", given small jug, but no other area to obtain water for drinking after 11pm when the bar is shut. Check out was even less pleasant went to hand the key to the receptionist, no communication from the receptionist just looked at me, then looked at a hole in the desk which stated drop keys in.

They leave the heating on in the hotel regardless of the weather ???? sooo hot in the room Hot water not hot And holy moly the floors are creaky ????‍️

Not a particularly memorable or pleasant place

Good location for accessing the motorway. It was very cheap for a night.

Rooms were only “ok” - what I’ve come to expect from the Britannia chain. Another nearby room decided to have a loud party all night and there was a persistent ringing outside all night. Did not get a good sleep. The staff were also really blunt and rude. I wouldn’t bother going there again, not even for the cheap price.

The friendly helpful staff, a good filling breakfast

Staff where fantastic. Decor was very dated, smelly and desperately needed updating. The bthroom needed urgent attention. Hotel reception was full of workman which was a little intimidating.

Good cheap option but HOT

Good location and local facilities, friendly staff, nice big bed! Would have been a lovely stay if the room wasn’t so hot!

The room was so hot, it was so uncomfortable, i was told I cannot open the window as it’s a “safety feature” I only got a couple of hours sleep! The staff bought a fan to the room!

Would not return.

When enter the entrance, it was unclean with cigarette buds all over the floor. There was broken leather sofas everywhere. Was very outdated. The room was basic but not very well cleaned. Beard hairs or something over the floor. Beds were rock solid. Would not go back.

Friendly staff, smooth check in. Free parking.

Corridor smelt bad like a smokers paradise. Bathroom had a leak by the sink so the floor was wet. Radiator was making a screeching sound all night
